In Release 16, the specification was enhanced to clarify the mapping relationship between a V2X Service and a PFI for a PC5 unicast link. This explicitly acknowledged that when multiple V2X service types share a single PC5 unicast link, one PC5 QoS Flow identified by a PFI may be associated with more than one of those service types. The clarification provided a more defined framework for managing PFI assignment and the associated PC5 QoS Context within the unicast link procedures.
